Little India is one of Singapore's most colorful districts spreading out along Serangoon Rd, populated by the descendants of the Indians who arrived in Singapore in the mid 1800’s.

Peacock:
It is a symbol of Hinduism. Peacock feathers are on sale in Little India. The peacock feather will fall off after the mating season.

Religion:
Hiduism, Buddhism and the religion of Sikhism originates from India

Sikhs:
All Sikhs are to keep their hair uncut. They are to carry a personal comb and dagger. They also have a silver coloured steel bangle on their right wrist.
